Introducing my Free Cardmaking Class: Squaring Away Scraps

Class Description for Squaring Away Scraps

As with my first class, 15 Holiday Cards in 1 Hour, I am going to make the video tutorial portion free on YouTube and make the workbook a paid extra. I believe you will be able to make the cards without the workbook, but you might find it a helpful supplement.

In this class, we will make 10 A2 cards. The sketches will also work for many themes. For other themes, simply choose other paper and embellishments.

The workbook will contain full instructions for completing the projects including tutorial pictures, sketches, and lists of scraps needed for each sketch. There will also be sample photos of each card for reference. You should be able to complete the projects with only the video or only the workbook, but they are designed to compliment each other.

Supplies for Squaring Away Scraps

For the class you will need:

Supplies:

  • various scraps of patterned paper, the largest piece you need will be 4.25×4.25 inches
  • 5 sheets of white 8.5×11 card stock (to make card bases)
  • a paper trimmer
  • a scissor
  • adhesive (tape runner recommended)
  • coordinating ephemera or other means of decorating cards

Optional:

  • organizing tray, box, bag, or envelope
  • a scoring board
  • a bone folder
  • T-square ruler
  • color printer
